the joys of dating

so the other week i went out with a girl. in the course of the date we naturally talked about past boys she has dated. she mentioned that she once dated a guy i know (we'll call him claurice) that eventually dated her sister (we'll call her mory) for a few months. the relationship with mory and claurice ended because according to my date, mory, my date's sister, 'wasnt really interested. so she ended things.' naturally. not two days later i was with some friends and somehow this relationship with claurice and mory came up because my friends were good friends with claurice. they said that the relationship ended because claurice 'didnt really like mory and didnt see much happening between them so he broke up with her.'
of course it doesnt really matter who ended the relationship. its over. perhaps it was a completely mutual break up just like on that 'seinfeld' episode. but pretending that didnt happen, it just illustrates the joys of dating. the joy being that in your own personal world and among all your friends, you never get dumped.
